Steve has lived in Charlottesville since 2002 and earned his Master's degree in Political Philosophy from the University of Virginia in 2007. After completing his degree, he joined his wife in running The Happy Cook, located in the Barracks Road Shopping Center, which they have owned since 2005. In 2016, seeking a new challenge and a way to care for their three young children—Amos, Elsie, and Isaac—Steve purchased Bounce, Play-n-Create, a business offering family activities and birthday parties, which he ran for six years. In 2022, Steve sold Bounce and transitioned into commercial real estate where he is leveraging his 20 years of experience to support local businesses in the Charlottesville community as well as national firms.
