Steve has been a resident of Charlottesville since 2002, where he earned his Master's degree in Political Philosophy from the University of Virginia in 2007. His academic background, combined with his deep passion for community, led him to a unique entrepreneurial path. After completing his degree, Steve joined his wife in running The Happy Cook, a beloved kitchenware store in the Barracks Road Shopping Center that they have successfully owned and operated since 2005. Under their stewardship, The Happy Cook became a staple in the local retail scene, known for its exceptional customer service and diverse product offerings.

In 2016, driven by a desire to take on a new challenge and better balance family life with their three young children—Amos, Elsie, and Isaac—Steve purchased Bounce, Play-n-Create, a business offering family-friendly activities and birthday parties. Over the next six years, Steve grew Bounce into a cherished destination for families in the area, creating a fun, engaging environment that became a go-to spot for local celebrations. His commitment to providing exceptional experiences and cultivating relationships with the community further solidified his reputation as a trusted business leader.

In 2022, after selling Bounce, Steve pivoted to commercial real estate, channeling his two decades of entrepreneurial experience and deep understanding of the local business landscape. Now, as a commercial real estate professional, Steve leverages his comprehensive knowledge to assist local businesses in navigating the dynamic real estate market, helping them find ideal spaces that foster growth and success. Beyond the Charlottesville market, Steve serves as a real estate consultant for Zwilling J.A. Henckels USA, securing strategic retail event leases nationwide.
